YDM has assisted ecologists from award winning consultancies on various projects ranging from reserviour and electrical substation extensions to assisting with bat activity and amphibian surveys.

 

The Gallery shows hibernacula built as part of the mitigation proposals for a housing estate in Sittingbourne, newt pond vegetation clearance in Leicestershire and vegetation clearance and reptile capture also in Sittingbourne. The fencing and vegetation clearance at the electrical substation pictured was carried out in three weeks. Approximately 3.5 square kilometres of vegetation was cleared, and approximately 1.5km of fencing was erected. Additional fencing of approximately 0.5km was added to the original plan along with approximately 1.5 square kilometres of vegetation clearance which was undertaken within the original three week works window.
